New Today! Beta Playlists and Other Improvements
The Screencast.com team has published a collection of improvements related to the Beta Library which brings it closer to meeting or exceeding parity with the traditional Library. Playlist contents now appear in the Beta view, and you now have the ability to add/delete content, view and change playlist details, including privacy level. In the new Library you can now see folders and playlists that have been shared with you through the Authenticated user privacy method.
At this point there should be little need to switch out of the beta view and back to the old Library interface. (Hidden playlists are still a bit wonky - let us know how often you use them.)With the added search and sorting improvements in the new Library, we hope you find it more efficient and comfortable to use the new interface instead of the old. If not, let us know!
Along with a few bug fixes, the length of an iTunes RSS feed is now unlimited. You can now host your iOS-centric content on Screencast.com, and distribute that content through iTunes without worrying about hitting a display limit.
Finally, we upped our Flash player limit to 10.1. We know there are still some holdouts still using the version 9 series player (less than 1% of all viewers), but we are experiencing compatibility issues with Microsoft's Internet Explorer and the old Flash players, which is forcing us to increase our minimum player version.

In perusing the articles here about screencast, it is evident that its creators are open to feedback for the purpose of improving their product. I have not used screencast up until now, but I am looking for a way to better distribute work related content to different offices. First, we are looking into companies, such as onConference, that offer conference calling solutions. If we choose to go with audio only, we want to be able to share visual data(charts, video tutorials, taped presentations) by distributing them to our associates who are on the call. I'm wondering if this is something that screencast could accommodate?

This is something fairly unique that allows the content owner to share a video (or in your case an audio file) and include things such as handouts, PPT slides, ZIP files, etc.
I would recommend giving the free account level a spin. In terms of raw functionality in what you're looking for, I think it will be sufficient for a test. Here are the differences between the Pro and free account levels: http://screencast.com/t/w4C4kevroX

It appears that the only sorting the playlists do is alphabetically. Are there any plans for other sorting methods? Or the possibility to link to a different video in the playlist first?
I'm a new Pro user. I have been using the free version for a while. I have my whole team using it. Having got every one to accep the product I felt I should know organise and brand our libraries. To my horror I can brand the video pages, buy when it comes to playlists, they appear on Screencast branded pages. Whats worse the breadcrumbs displayed when I send someone (a customer) a link to the video allow the user to navigate from our branded pages to Screencats pages and see the contents of our entire video library. I 've searched the documentation, I watched the Customisation videos and I have tried a few things but Im out of ideas and I'm going to be out of Screencast if I cant see a fix soon.

While I have not used screencast, it is nice to read that they are trying to improve both privacy and accessibility controls. I have quite a few images/videos/ideas that I would prefer sharing with only a handful of my colleagues. New Year Greetings
I teach at a school that has outlawed access to Screencast.com.
As an avid user of Jing I'm befuddled at this but they say it poses a security risk of some sort.
Can you provide me with any insight or a contact person that can speak with a technical person at my school.

Beta playlist is working with amazing features and it is required to get complete info about it. There are many important points regarding this application and people regarding IT must know about it.
Here at TheMathsTutor.ie, we love Screencast, and are proud to be Pro members.
One thing that would help me a lot is if I could upload new versions of videos (with the same name), and keep the same URL.
I know there is a workaround, but it is pretty fiddly.
Is there any way I can do bulk uploads and have them override the old videos in a folder, while retaining the URL please?
