Great info, thank you. We currently produce our videos with a Tricaster system and export as a QuickTime mp4 in letterbox format (16:9). Unfortunately in Screencast the player produces the video in a 4:3 window? Image Example The embed work around is fine to allow the player (16:9) sizing, but the playlist and direct links inside of Screencast.com do not function. Why is this?

I double checked with support. Our hunch is similar. I see it's playing in Quicktime, and if the MP4 was in h.264 format, it would play in Flash or HTML5 and look correct.

Our Tech Support team can help you get to the bottom of this. They may want to see the actual file or learn more about how it's being produced.

As of yesterday, I am having the same issue with mov files in the MP4 & H.264 formats. I upload a 16:9 video and it displays 4:3. Clients can download them and view them locally just fine, but that is not ideal since the purpose is to have the videos readily available for previewing online.

This has not happened before now. Can you please help with this issue?

The first time that I have used screencast was during my employment in Harv Eker Companies. We used Jing to capture images and videos and upload it to screencast. This is a very good application and I admire all the improvements that you guys are making.

I'm a little bit confused here. Basically when we say screencast, it refers to a digital recording of computer screen output, also known as a video screen capture, often containing audio narration. The term screencast compares with the related term screenshot; whereas screenshot is a picture of a computer screen, a screencast is essentially a movie of the changes over time that a user sees on a computer screen, enhanced with audio narration. I did try to create an account, but am I missing something here? Because I can't find the record button.
