Exciting News at Screencast.com
I'm excited to announce that Screencast.com now has recurring billing, and a simplified, greatly enhanced account structure! Screencast.com will now automatically renew your account at the end of your billing cycle (monthly) - or for an even greater savings - you can set up your account to renew annually. And speaking of savings - we've done away with the confusing triple-tier account structure and replace the confusion with Screencast.com Pro - 200GB of monthly bandwidth - that's 2X the available bandwidth of the Premium account plan - and 25GB of storage space for only $9.95/month. That's nearly 40% off the Premium account price! Don't think you'll need that much storage or bandwidth (you might be surprised when your content becomes popular), we also now have a Screencast.com FREE account that is not time limited. We've done away with our 60-day trial, and extended our storage and monthly bandwidth limits to 2GB in each case.
More for less is what TechSmith is all about. Of course if you need more storage or bandwidth we'll still have that available for you to purchase; just visit our Website for further details. We're still working on a plethora of customer requested features and enhancements that keep coming our way - so please don't stop sending us your feedback. I read every one of them and respond when I can. It's the only way this will work - is if you all keep us honest. So keep the comments and suggestions coming and we'll keep creating the best darn video sharing site that's out there. And as always - Happy Screencasting!
Is it possible to include in your pricing tiers an estimate of potential bandwidth usage? For instance, one 4-minute screencast can be viewed 200 times in a month before you're likely to go over your 2GB transfer limit.
This is fantastic news!
Superb! Simplified plan structure; and very appealing, with reduced worries about exceeding premium bandwidth usage. Good move!
ScreenCast is the best service in the U.S. we've found for our stock market work; and has been a lifesaver since forecasting the 'panic' and 'crash' over the past year.
Our clients and visitors love the videos and all we need is a premium version of JING so that the 5-minute limit comes off, and all will be well.
good luck to you guys; the service and the support have been flawless.

I normally wouldn't comment on a company blog, but just wanted to drop a note of thanks for the free Screencast account. I was really disappointed when the trial expired, so this is great news and just reinforces the good decision to go with Camtasia.
* Feature Request: It'd be nice to be able to delete my uploaded videos so I can maintain the library.
I appreciate a simplified structure, but not the mandated automatic recurring billing. While this feature certainly represents a benefit to TechSmith's revenue from the screencast.com site, not making it optional for your customer is rather sinister.

@Jonathan - You can delete content. When you move your cursor over a piece of media, the very last option is a trash can. Click on this to delete the content. You can check a tutorial video about deleting content here: http://www.screencast.com/t/gU8CqvymA
If you want to delete multiple pieces of content at the same time you can hold CTRL and click on the multiple pieces of media - or click and drag in the white space around the media that you want to select for deletion.

@Paul - great question about how many times can a 4-minute video be watched with 2 GB. The answer is really - it depends.
Let's say your 4-minute video is 10 MB (keeping the match simple) - 2 GB is about 2048 MB- so that works out to 204 times approximately.
10 MB * 204 = 2040 MB = or just about 2 GB
Of course its more than likely that you'll have more than one video - so you'll have to do some quick calculations to determine exactly what you need.
You can check out this tutorial video to get a much more visual understanding of what I mean: http://www.screencast.com/t/Zz72pzSq
Hope this helps.
